The Book Gig site helps readers connect with their favourite authors by listing book related events for as many different authors and genres as possible. Since launch, Book Gig has featured thousands of events across the UK including talks, signings, readings and other book-related activities from all major chain booksellers and over five-hundred independent retailers, plus literary festivals and publishing houses.
The site was launched by publisher Harper Collins in 2016 and acquired by the UK’s leading book trade magazine, The Bookseller, in January 2019.
The Bookseller has been the weekly business magazine for the book trade since 1858. It runs The British Book Awards, the YA Book Prize, Futurebook Live, two other market-leading conferences, website www.thebookseller.com and https://jobs.thebookseller.com/ where those seeking new roles in the book trade look first.
In October 2018, The Bookseller launched a reviews aggregation service, Books in the Media and in November 2018 the monthly The Bookseller Podcast
